Kellie’s Castle was built by a Scottish man named William Kellie-Smith. It was built either as a gift to his wife or son. If this castle was finished successfully, it would be the first place in Malaysia that had 6 storey elevator.
Unfortunately, Kellie-Smith passed away during his trip to Europe. William’s wife was devastated and decided to move back to Scotland; construction on the castle was never completed and was left unattended ever since.
On the first floor, there is a mockup living room showcasing furnitures and kitchen.
If the building is finished, it will be one of the most remarkable building in the country with its own unique modern style.
